In 2011, we opened with a clear mission: to make diagnostic medical imaging more accessible, transparent, and comfortable for everyone who walks through our doors. From offering Open MRI technology for patients with claustrophobia, to maintaining OPEN schedules with extended hours and minimal wait times, our model is simple: Stay OPEN — to patients, to progress, and to doing things better.

What matters most to you?

We have the two most comfortable MRI options available. Our wide-bore MRI (3T) is exceptionally spacious for a closed MRI and provides maximum clarity. However, some people still prefer maximum space, that’s why we offer the only true Open MRI scanner (1.2T) in our region. You will have extra breathing room and still get exceptional images.
Our CT scanner provides high quality imaging with a low radiation dose and efficient scan times.
Our highly trained staff will warmly greet you, address any concerns and check-in with you throughout your scan. Your comfort is our highest priority.

Our Hitachi Oasis 1.2T Open MRI is the highest strength Open scanner on the market and for most MRIs gets the job done with incredible clarity. Our Siemens Verio 3.0T wide-bore closed MRI is the highest strength magnet in our region for scans that require additional detail.
Our Siemens SOMATOM go.top CT scanner, newly installed in 2025, will provide high quality detailed imaging.
In addition, our elite team of reading radiologists are all sub-specialty trained and provide high-quality reads. We are proud to offer our patients this degree of precision and expertise for their scans.

When you need imaging, having to wait is the worst. At Vermont OPEN Imaging, we can typically get you in more quickly than other providers by offering early morning, evening and weekend appointments for MRIs. For CT scans, we are scheduling 8-5, Monday through Friday. But we are almost always scheduling sooner than other local providers.
Your results are usually available in three business days or less.
Plus, you won’t need to worry about navigating a large parking garage or a maze of buildings. We offer plenty of free parking just steps from our front door.

As an independent outpatient facility, we keep costs low. In fact, we’re typically thousands less than other diagnostic imaging providers. Self-pay rates start at just $1,099 and are often less if you have insurance. No surprises or guesswork here—just upfront pricing you can trust.
