MRI Costs

USING INSURANCE? Your out-of-pocket costs may be even less.
These prices include the scan and the radiologist’s expert interpretation—there are no separate charges.
Navigating insurance for advanced imaging can be tricky, so we do our best to keep it simple.
Vermont OPEN Imaging participates in most local and national insurance networks for MRIs. For CT scans we are contracted with Medicare, BCBS VT and in process of finalizing contracts with many of the commercial plans listed here.

Payment Options
We make paying for your imaging simple and convenient. Patients are required to have a card on file unless it is determined prior to your appointment that there would be no patient responsibility. We are happy to set up payment plans that allow you to pay off your balance within a calendar year of your appointment.
With Insurance
You may owe a copay or coinsurance at the time of your appointment. We’ll then bill your insurance. Once we hear back from your insurance company, we will run your card according to the agreed upon payment arrangement.
Without Insurance
If you’re paying the scan cost without insurance, payment is due in full at the time of service.
